ok. not really political I don't think but it seems like it has to be illegal or something.
there are 2 commercials. and they absolutely blow my mind that they are allowed to run.
1 is a flashlight. "elite tac" or something equally gay. they make absolutely ridiculous claims. favorite is that it's basically a light saber and can cut through metal. don't ever accidentally shine it at someone or you'll cut them in half.
the other is a lighter that uses "Tesla coil" technology and doesn't require fuel. shows a huge flame. they invented fire that doesn't need fuel. nice job guys! years ago, my wife bought me a lighter that looks exactly like that. it most def needs butane and has very little Tesla coil technology.
you guys know the ones I'm talking about? makes me feel insane every time they come on. how are those allowed but everything that was anti vax or suspicious of the election were branded with "misinformation" stamps?

Check your search and browsing history, 90% of ads can come from that. It could also be the browsing history of someone in your family trigging it too if they use the same internet connection as you. It is called targeting marketing.
Just wait until the fall when the election commercials are running against Trump.

Yes! I saw it randomly one day and haven’t thought about it since. All the sudden I realized what the ad was for like wtf is this a joke
Thanks for reminding me about this.

What pisses me off is, not only have they gone nuclear with the ad times, probably up double from a year ago, but they pull a bait and switch by telling you “skip in 5 seconds” then it goes straight into another ad without allowing you to skip anything.

I think people can stomach ads generally, but youtube is absolute garbage tier in ad quality. Like porn site level bad.
They run loads of obvious scams/fakes and their strategies are designed to take advantage of people. 15 minute ads designed to take advantage of people in the shower who can't hit skip. Their "war on adblockers" etc.
It's all manufactured issues to try and strong-arm you into buying premium
