Despite Purdue having the better big man, UConn held advantage at every other position. Alabama, on the other hand, was not as outmatched.

That and a quarter will buy you a lollipop.

We played a good game and competed, which is good, but not much reason to talk about it other than that.

Yep. And if BAMA's last season talent came back this year we would have had the firepower to shoot our way to the NC.

Nate Oats is truly the most forward-thinking coach in optimizing offensive basketball in today's game. BAMA isn't just going to win, we are going to enjoy watching it.

Barkley summed it up really well at halftime of our game with them. He basically said that the good part for Alabama was that we played almost a perfect half of basketball for us - we defended well without fouling, we hung with them on the boards, and we were scorching hot from the 3-point line. Everything we needed to have happen in order for us to compete, happened. The bad part was that after all of that, we were still behind by four at the half. UCONN was just better than us, period. We competed well, but it would have been a monumental task to beat that team.

Well it's easy to play loose when NO ONE gave you a chance, and rightfully so. UConn is on a other level right now.

Alabama going 8/11 from three in the first half and still being down 4 is just an insane stat.

That UCONN team was a fricking machine.

Everytime outside of Depaul in the Big East played UConn way better than any team they faced in the tournament.

Agreed. Bama is a lot tougher to figure out than Purdue.
But once UCONN got a plan both outcomes were just as certain

U Conn had an incredible offensive scheme and players but it seemed like a lot of their shots didn't fall against Purdue like they did against us. If they had they would have won by a much larger score.

Playing and losing to UCONN was like what that idiot politician said years ago about women getting raped…it’s inevitable, there’s nothing you can do to stop it, so you might as well enjoy it.
