Zurich is the best large city I've ever been to. Best place to live in the world IF you can afford it. The Italian speaking area in the south of Switzerland is also pretty cool. June weather there is like Shreveport in April. I'd do Zermatt instead of Interlaken in summer. Much better hiking trails. Lucerne and Berne are also very cool small cities to hang out in. I could live in Berne the rest of my days too if I had the funds. Switzerland is perfect; that's why it costs so much to live there.

Was just there in March for over half a month. Zurich was very cool. I liked Lucerne better, it's about an hour train ride west. Had the best time in Verbier, western Switzerland. However, I was skiing there and their ski season is ending in April. You can still do outdoor activities, if you are into that.

Be aware there is still a good number of hotels that do not have AC so they can be stuffy in the summer....

Good thread from last year: Switzerland Trip in June
Can't recommend Lauterbrunnen enough. Very close to Interlaken.

I’m going in June also. Leaving on 6th. We are flying into Zurich and have an Airbnb in Lauterbrunnen for 8 days. Never been before. Looking forward to lots of hiking and scenery.

Nice. So far our plan is Fly DFW to Zurich on 6th. Grab rental car and make our way down to Lauterbrunnen and get checked in that same day. We have several hikes and points of interest we want to go in that region but will def be making a day trip to Zermatt and also lake como.

We're going in July.
We're flying into Zurich then spending two nights in Lucerne. During our full day in Lucerne I think we're going to go up to Mt. Rigi, hike down to the mineral baths and spend some time there, then return to the city.
We're then going to Murren for 4 nights. I think we'll spend one day on the each side of the valley hiking and riding to the mountain peaks (Jungraujoch one day and Schilthorn the other). The third full day will either be exploring the lakes around Interlaken, a day trip to Bern, or interesting hiking areas we didn't get to already. Which day we do what out of Murren will be largely weather dependent.
We're then going to Zermatt for a night. On the afternoon we get there the plan is to take the cable car to Blautherd and hike to Stellisee. The next morning we'll take the Gornergrat train and hike to Riffelsee. Hopefully we'll have great views of the Matterhorn on one of those two.
We then take an afternoon train to Geneva and fly out the next day.

Interlaken, Lucerne, train rides through what I call Heidi valleys\. Breathtaking views.
Oh, and fondue late at night.

Switzerland is the most beautiful country I have ever seen. National beauty from one end to the other.
Try to go to Zermatt. You can take the lifts up to the various levels of the Klein Matterhorn which overlooks the Matterhorn. You look in one direction and you see the Matterhorn. In the other direction you see Zermatt off in the distance. And all around you, you are looking down on the snow capped Alps. That is the most spectacular scenery I have ever seen in my life.
