Pulled the wiring harness from my fifth wheel

Was parking it after the weekend getaway and it got caught on the tailgate. Pulled it completely out of the junction box. Got the lights all working but the trailer brakes still aren’t functioning. I’ve searched the web and can’t find solutions so alas I’ve come here. I have the 12v+ from the truck to the 12v+ on the trailer and the 12v- and all the white wires to the 12v- to the trailer. Best I can tell all whites should be neutral. I have the blue trailer brake wire to what I can only assume is the rv’s trailer brake wire because it was the only colored wire not used (it was blue too). The break away switch has two wires. One I spliced in with the blue wires and the other I ran to a wire that runs directly from the rv battery.
When I first started my truck would acknowledge the trailer was hooked up but was giving me a “service trailer brake”. The way I have it now my truck isn’t acknowledging the brakes but lights work. No output from the control when manually operating brakes from control.
Any solutions?

I think they pull your Southern man card is you have a trailer where all the lights work properly.

It isnt an AC system. The white wires aren't neutral, they are something else. Everything is going to be frame grounded and the grounds are probably all pretty short. If I remember right, white is the brake apply power to the brakes.
Find the model number on the brake battery box and find a wiring diagram for it. It's pretty easy.

That would work great if the wires in my rv matched up to the colors of the 7 pin but they don’t. I have red to brown, green to gray, etc.

None of the white wires are feeding power. Only the blue wire from the wiring harness and the wire coming from the battery are left feeding power after the lights are hooked up.

Idk what else to tell you man. I've wired up a pile of them. I've never seen a white ground wire.
If you think you've got it all wired correctly and it isn't acting right, it's always a shitty ground somewhere.

The incoming 12v- wire is white which I have connected to the wire going to negative connection to the battery. There are 3 or 4 more white wires on the trailer side of the junction box. I currently have these hooked up to the 12v-. With all the lights working I’m left with the two wires from the break away switch, the blue wire from the truck wiring harness, a blue wire from the trailer, a blue/white wire that feeds directly from the rv battery, the aforementioned 3 or 4 white wires.
If the white wires aren’t negative where do they go? Serious question cause I’ve tried all I know.

Check to see if your truck has fuses for the trailer hookup if it’s all factory installed. Most vehicles has them now days.

Maybe try to by pass the break away and touch the trailer brake wires with a known good 12 volt? Listen to see if they are activating?

A quick solution. Find a trailer place close, let them troubleshoot it. They have testers. Best of luck.

My initial thought is your junction box is damaged from the harness getting yanked.

I'm not being condescending cause I really don't know, but how would a damaged box cause problems with the brakes? Doesn't it just house the wires?
