Imagine believing flooding the nation with millions of illegal immigrants which costs hundreds of billions of dollars as well as giving billions to Ukraine on top of forgiving billions in student loan debt has had no impact on inflation? I completely understand why most politicians are lawyers

It didn't.
You clearly have no idea in the difference in billions and trillions. The amount we've sent Ukraine is like 1 month of SS spending
The SL debt forgiveness is part of an old law and already baked into the budgetary calculations.

It’s impressive how confident you are in the fact that you know so little. Follow me boy wonder, when you give out said currency to millions of new consumers who haven’t contributed to the economic growth it creates artificial demand which fuels inflation. As far as student loan debt is concerned, he is using existing policies to justify his executive orders but those policies weren’t funded for billions he continues to forgive. You are factually incorrect as usual. What you are attempting to argue is that President Biden is doing as well as anyone could so it justifies your support of him and his policies. After all, nothing can be done and we might as just keep spending billions on top of the hundreds of billions that we accrue every few months in national debt, amirite? That is the lunacy of your arguments

Yes, the trillions printed in 2020 did this.

You're 100% wrong. PSLF is an act of Congress.

I want to eliminate Social Security, slash Medicare, and cut military spending by 25%.
Tell me your plans to fix things

Exposed for understanding that printing trillions will cause inflation down the road

I mean the economic contraction is what you want/expect to control inflation.
This kind of thinking makes me sick. MMT preaches that the govment can print and spend at will, and when that inevitably causes inflation, the economy must be slowed and people put out of work and production stifled to right the ship. Curtailing government spending/moneyprinting is never the answer, just hurt the little guy.

This is his fourth act on the board. His first incarnation was as a "highly intelligent" and mouthy no-nothing. His second was as a "highly-intelligent" conventional-wisdom semi-liberal. Then he flirted with Conservatism in a "highly intelligent" manner. Now he's in the "highly intelligent" and insufferable bed-wetting Trump Derangement Syndrome phase. A couple years from now he will convert to a "highly intelligent" version of Islam and then he will become the world's greatest "highly intelligent" Irish dancer. It's an identity issue thing.
Appreciate ya, SFP. And you are intelligent. But dear Lord you need a wise foundation. You can't be all things to all people. You have to be more intellectually and morally RIGOROUS. You have to use that intimidating OTTO brain for good and not just as a form of mental masturbation. I recommend the Stoics. Get your temperament straight first. Listen to me, son.

There was no inflation under Trump.
Which has already been explained why. Inflation is a lagging indicator. Trump spent trillions needlessly even before Covid. We likely haven’t even gotten into the bulk of what Biden’s spending will do.

I think this fantasy says more about your multiple transformations than my consistency for almost 20 years

I'll settle for consistency and being correct a lot more often than I'm wrong.
I can't help that this audience has changed dramatically since 2016 (more 2020).

A good quote for this digression:
quote:
“No person has the power to have everything they want, but it is in their power not to want what they don't have, and to cheerfully put to good use what they do have
A good one that applicable to many on here and the fear porn they are addicted to:

It keeps it from falling like it should. But inflation isnt instantaneous, it lags
the worst of Bidens damage still hasnt shown up. By saying Trumps era deserves some blame, that dont absolve the current one.

So according to you, Biden’s policies have nothing to do with this, and he was simply left a bad hand?
Wow

You should have just said “ Yes , Sir” and called it a day. And unless you were reading Marcus Aurelius in 1985, you are late to the Stoic game. Let me be blunt;. You sir, are a dilettante. You dabble maniacally around every single edge, never really mastering anything and never learning the intended lesson. There is a difference between being glib and wise that you have not yet discovered.
Now you may return to the sweet sound of your own intoxicating voice , and I , a humble shepherd of little ambition, will return to my flock ( presently one Yorkie and an unnamed houseguest), sans self - serving quotation.

Do you think we've really felt the effects of Build Back Better/Inflation Reduction Act? I think we're probably working through getting pummelled by COVID bucks.
