There's zero evidence of this. He recused himself because it was the proper thing to do. He was involved in the campaign and the transition.

If Eric Holder was directing an investigation into the election of Obama, you all would have a much different opinion on recusal.

The assumption here is the DOJ is a neutral law enforcement entity that exists to promote fair and impartial justice.

At this late stage, that is an absurd proposition.

All the paramilitary alphabet agencies that operate under the aegis of the DOJ — the FBI, the ATF, the DEA, etc... — have repeatedly demonstrated that they are wholly ideological agencies whose sole purpose is to legitimize the administrative state over every other consideration.

That you use Eric Holder as an example only underscores the point.

So many were indeed moles. Sessions was always a company man.

Why is it they are ready to name Miami prisons after Trump, FBI raided Trump, And the minute that it could be said they will be stopped they say Trump will use the DOJ like a dictator to finally hold the DC swamp & media accountable?

Some degree of populist pushback is the very best outcome we can hope for in our wholly compromised political system. That pushback is going to come from the Bernie Bro left or the MAGA right. Pick your poison because it is what it is.

In what form?

They don't have the support for political pushback, so are we talking violence or what?

Populism like progressivism and libertarian beliefs should be an influence, not a model to run government.

The issue with populists is most have clue how govt works and keep firing the wrong people.

If Democracy is a race to the bottom, Populism is the floor.

A conflict would have been created for any person in the role. The press would assist. Presto. An investigation by a special counsel. That was the goal the whole time. Did you not read the FBI texts from horse face and Strzok?

Nope. Bill Barr didn’t have a conflict. The investigation was into Trump’s campaign which sessions was a part of. That was the reason he appointed Mueller.

Just to be clear, I’m making no claim that populism will offer any lasting solution to the deepening crisis.

Indeed, I correctly predicted in 2016 that Trump’s election would in many ways exacerbate the crisis.

Yet to paraphrase William F. Buckley, I’d rather be governed by a random selection of people chosen from the Boston telephone directory than by the Harvard University Faculty Senate.

Again, it is what it is.

Bill Barr is a prime example of why any vote in this Uniparty® charade is at best a vote for continuing the status quo.

After all the unmasking of the wholly corrupt actors in the intelligence agencies and the exposure of the treasonous moles in the Obama regime who illegally spied on Trump’s campaign, there sat Barr like a bump on log, saying there is no evidence of a criminal collusion in the manufactured RussiaGate scandal.

Why?

Because if anyone pulled on the string hard enough, the whole ball of yarn would come unwound.
