The Amish will build you a 1000 sq ft cabin for a lot less than that.

The sears houses were also complete kits. Not just the framing and exterior finish.

Home Depot and Lowes are pushing more and more into home services like kitchen remodeling and roofing at very high costs. Trying to make things retail that aren’t by just having ridiculous margins.
