Why has Jay Johnson try someone, other than Michael Brasswell, at shortstop?

When’s JJ going to let Jake Brown and Guidry grab a bat?

Why would we sit our best hitter in SEC play?

Why are people obsessed with trashing Brasswell?

Because he is hitting .393 with a .541 OB% in SEC play. Any more dumb questions?

Brasswell is the least of the problem.

I can't tell if you're asking why he has, or why he hasn't.

He's far from the biggest issue right now. I guess everyone just got used to ripping our shortstop last year that this is a trend

The team's biggest struggle is hitting and you want to replace the guy who has the best batting average in SEC play by more than 100 points?

1) He's one of our best hitters in SEC play.

2) He's on pace for 14 errors this year. For reference Josh Smith made 12 his last year with the team and was widely considered one of the best SS in the SEC.

3) He's probably turned more double plays this year than JT did in 3 years as a starter.

Not sure why people look at this team and think that Braswell at short is a/the problem.

Last I checked Braswell didn’t walk 23 batters against Arkansas. Like it’s been said 100 times in this post already, he is our leading hitter in SEC play. If you want to blame someone for our struggles then start with a random name out of the bullpen and work from there.

Braswell has the best batting average in SEC play for LSU. Yes, his defense has been in question as of late but he was subbed out after he was 1 of the 4 hits against Southern because of an error. Milam was subbed in. So he has tried someone else fyi. But his bat is the best we have of the middle infielders. Can't afford to take him out.
