How did last night women's loss turn into a defend Angel Reese issue?

I saw some comments talking about how difficult this and that and her receiving death threats and then Flaujae defending her about this and that and wearing the crown and all this stuff. We win, its about Angel. We lose, its about Angel. Not trying to take away her talent or what she means on the court to this team but why is the drama so heavy? Jesus.

Not a controversy but I also take note of this victimization habit that seems a little childish. Anyone remember that last year some of the anti-Iowa trash talk was allegedly because Iowa “disrespected” the South Carolina outside shooters by not covering them. Our players claimed to be “defending their SEC sisters”. Whatever it takes to get you motivated, I guess…

Angel, regardless of her play, is the one that gets held accountable for losses. She is the leader of the team, the most vocal. It seemed as if FJ & HVL were getting ahead of the media and defending her before they could blame the loss on her.

Nothing against Reese but she came here for money. she’s good at what she does, I have nothing against her. But the way Caitlyn plays and reps Iowa. She’s the greatest that will ever do it and she’s the underdog against all these NIL super teams. And she’s just incredibly exciting to watch. I hope she wins it all. I don’t pay attention to all the other drama.
