Well who ever could’ve imagined….

There are some serious dumbazzes out there who literally have to learn things the hard way before a light clicks on in their skull.
There's a difference between decriminalization and simply allowing open air drug use in highly public spaces. Portland could have still policed, they just chose not to.

Additionally, I believe psychedelics like psilocybin have been included in this new bill, which is really dumb. Pretending that mushrooms are the same as fentanyl is just silly.

And a lot of people lose the forest for the trees on this. Fentanyl is essentially a scourge everywhere. Louisiana has a higher per capita rate (a LOT higher) of fentanyl deaths than Oregon. The highest rate is in WV, where I'm pretty sure there has been no decrim. Many red states have higher fentanyl death rates than Oregon.

Oregon has done some dumb things, but they're not some crazy outlier in terms of actual results.

This is what the anti-drug/anti-freedom people don't understand. You can not arrest people for possessing drugs while still policing public drug use, vagrancy, theft, and every other associated crime, aka crimes with a victim. People getting high in their home isn't the issue. This is no different than liberals trying to take guns from good citizens because thugs keep shooting each other.
