SM is a classic, philosophical Atheist, IMO. Probably an honest and good guy IRL, but like with all Atheist, zero hope for any future. Every generation is littered with those who think they had it all figured out during their 8 or 9 decades and consider themselves much too intelligent to believe.
God and God’s Word long precedes such souls and God’s Word will remain long after such souls have been forgotten by even their own descendants.
You just pray earnestly for such folks that their eyes and hearts will be opened…and then go on about your way and let them go theirs.

One of my best and most faithful friends is an Atheist, GP, and I take you wise advice to heart. I love him, as does his Creator, although he does not enjoy the blessing of Belief, while bearing the hopeless curse of non-belief. I just love him and leave it at that, though he well knows where my love comes from. Such being my belief in an absolute Unity via God. We are all leaves in the 'Worldly' wind IRL. But for the Holy Spirit of Truth.
