If you read the article, there’s no clear “winner” here. Disney’s going to negotiate against the district out of court and pausing their federal suit for now

This is spin. Disney accepting the new board structure is clearly a win for DeSantis. It means they don’t think they’ll win in Florida court. The “pause” for federal court is face saving for Disney. You don’t pause cases you think you’ll win but Disney is hoping to play nice now. DeSantis doesn’t want to destroy Disney, they are a big part of Florida’s economy. He just wants them to shut their mouth. Disney got the message but a little too late. They’ve already hurt their brand with conservatives.

Do you actually think pausing a suit means you have the upper hand? Especially when you have unlimited resources?

That sounds foolish to me but I’m not a lawyer

That is a clear DeSantis win. What did Disney get out of it? Their stock climbed, and they sheltered their board from a Peltz attack
