I wonder if we will be in touch with another highly rated Kentucky Center who just entered the Portal, Aaron Bradshaw (247).

He is 7'1", 226 and was ranked 5th in his HS class, the top center in the class. Only played 1 year and is considered a rim runner AND stretch 5.

While we didn't make his final 7 last year, we did offer him and he did visit LSU. Plus his final 7 included the g-league, Louisville, Michigan, and of course Kentucky, so he might be reevaluating that. And he was courtside to see good fan support when LSU beat Kentucky.

I would love if we reached out to Bradshaw. Would be the perfect replacement for Baker.

As it stands now, LSU technically has only 1 scholarship available.

Returning players (7):

Reed, Ward, Williams, Collins, Stewart, Chest, Fountain

HS signees (3)

Givens, Miller 2x

Transfers (1)

Carter

LSU is also in the final year of sanctions which is the reduction of 1 scholarship.

It appears they got around that issue last year with Dean technically being a "walk on". I'm assuming they will try to do so again this year. So I suspect they really have 2 spots to fill right now...but that is not 100% certain.

Of those two spots the biggest priority is a PG. LSU doesn't have one on the roster and the team desperately needs one. Yes, Givens can play PG. But McMahon has discussed the desire to have experience at that spot. The excuse train is coming to an end and I can't see McMahon wanting to go into next season with an unproven PG in a year where most will be expecting results beyond 2 games over .500 and a postseason appearance in front of more than 47 fans.
