I feel like they almost lost or temporarily lost accreditation not too long ago. Shreveport really doesn't have any need for 2 colleges, especially with NSU and Tech both about an hour away.

Not so fast.
The difference is lower costs and a massive endowment.

BSC endowment: valued at nearly $54M
Centenary: valued at nearly $149M

there quite a few in NOLA that need to close as well... the roster of community colleges need to be rolled back as well, and basic entrance requirements need to be tightened up....

not everyone NEEDS nor SHOULD to go to college...
