re: Bonnie Bernstein Calls Out Kim Mulkey For Press Conference Statement

I don't know who the hell this person is but, so often, reporters and outsiders with, I assume, a decent level of intelligence, twist Mulkey's words to meet their agenda.
Kim clearly stated that this reporter has repeatedly called her over the past two years and she has refused to speak with him after reading and responding to his prior piece on LSU and Brian Kelly. In that piece, Writer Babb tries to paint LSU as some unfair employer with their priorities out of whack. Their example is an unidentified employee who gets paid several thousand dollars per year while Kelly as Head football coach is paid millions of dollars per year. He uses LSU as am example and the villain in his piece despite Kelly being, at the time, the 7th highest paid FB HC in college football? He puts a throwaway line in his article that LSU is not the only school paying big bucks for FB HCs. One of his "inside" sources is Collis Temple who got his education and his 2 sons education from LSU by playing basketball. Free tuition, free housing, free meals, free medical care, dental care, eye care...Not sure what Collis Temple has against LSU.
Then, in her presser, Kim said Babb called her just as she's preparing her team for the tournament and she again told him NO. She then went onto share that she had discovered from prior players, Assistants, and other personnel that Babb had lied to them telling her former associates that Kim was helping him with his article.
Obviously, Ms. Bernstein has her own agenda for who knows what reason. It is also clear that Babb, a SC graduate, never took a class on journalistic ethics or integrity.
Should he publish his article, he should be sure he has the permission & written consent from his contributors. For consent obtained under false pretenses will not help him. I have no doubt he is a true believer in St. Staley. I don't recall Kim being a target while at Baylor. Why now? Why LSU? Who benefits if a negative article affects our recruiting in a negative way?

Maybe you should send your post on over the WAPO writer. I'm sure he'd love seeing the positives.
He isn't taking questions...

They fired Johnny Jones as head men’s BB coach. Johnny was Collis’ guy, and Collis has a WAY outsized view of what his role in the hoops program should be.

The post is not questions. You don't need permission to send it to him. He can read it or not. Or, post it on his social media pages.

Kim's view was it's no ones business.
Not good enough for the likes of Britney Griner. It must be thrown in everyone’s faces and you must celebrate it. Otherwise, you’re a “homophobe”.

Yes, Chelsea Clinton us soooo inspiring. I’m sure she played a lot of sports growing up.
That tells you everything you need to know about Ms Bernstein.

Good lord if this article was actually worth a shite they’d just drop it instead of yapping so much about it
It’s going to be a huge nothing burger they just want to make LSU worry about this instead of focusing on the tournament

We need a ‘Bonnie Berenstain Sucks’ t-shirt
Would make a small fortune selling them at the Box and PMAC

I firmly believe she found the whole policy repugnant and was happy to see Waco in the rearview mirror."
After she stayed for 21 seasons?

It’s a fact that Tate and Collis wanted Mel Tucker, not Kelly. Btw, what a disaster that would have been.
So Tate commissioned a hit piece on Kelly with Collis as the hatchet man on the ground.
This is the exact same thing, just change the names of the white heterosexuals in the article.

Sounds like Bonnie is misinformed. Considering her profession you would think that she would understand that the reporter didn’t give one last chance to talk. He submitted a list of questions on Tuesday that he wanted answered by Thursday in the middle of the NCAA tourney. A liberal reporter twisting the narrative………..who would have Thought?

The people who keep spouting off the "she has had 2 years to answer the questions" rhetoric are missing a basic point. Do we really believe that the reporter gave Kim a list of the EXACT questions that he has been trying to ask for 2 years?
I can promise you that what he gave her was new to Kim and contained questions based on his interactions with people he had chased down recently, making his bogus deadline a horseshite move.
And I have heard through people who would know that a couple of his "sources" are family members that Kim hasn't spoken to in years. What a fricking sleazeball.
