The days of 300 game winners are over. The game is played different than it used to be. Time to adjust your standards.

Still a no from me for Buehrle, though. He was a great pitcher and I loved watching him play but he’s not quite there for me.

That's usually where they start with pitchers.
I remember when Don Sutton got his 300th win. lots of baseball writers didn't want to vote him in. He hung around long enough to get up to 324 to go with his 256 losses.
