Sorry, prom...not to belittle the program but major programs with a lot more at stake make decisions twice as fast as this school.

Or maybe it just feels that way because Peveto is in the mix...when did NSU fire the last coach?

Back around Thanksgiving. Greg Burke is a fairly deliberate person, and takes time making his decisions. Since the HC job doesn't pay that much, he really wanted to see what he could get. Stoker had more than adequate opportunity to put a consistent winner on the field. I went to a couple of their games this last season (my son is in the marching band), actually enjoyed the atmosphere. Granted, it will never be anything like Tiger Stadium, but it was a small college football game with the atmosphere. Other than not winning, it was actually a pleasant experience and I could still listen to LSU playing on the radio.

All indication I have gathered point to it coming down between Peveto and Dennis Dunn.

Dunn isn't in the top five. It is the Head Coach at Abilene Christian (Thomson), DC at Arkansas State who is a former NSU DC(Corless), Head Coach at MGCCC (Campbell, former Miami and Ole Miss OC(Werner)and BDP.

Yeah, I guess that would be a pretty safe bet. If it isn't Peveto, it will be another coach.

The other coach is DC Laird. Peveto has not contacted anyone to be his DC, so you assume that Laird will be retained which will be required by AD Burke. DCs have been contacted by many of the others. Football Grapevine is pretty good.

Northwestern has some excellent coaches to choose from. The salary will be in six figures for the head coach and I understand the assistant coaches salaries will also be increased.
Dennis Dunn was not interviewed because he did not apply for the position.
If Peveto gets the job it will be because the NSU community thinks he is the best man for the job.
Word around town is that the new coach will be announced Friday between 1 and 2 pm.

dude, if he gets the reputation for hammering assistants when he doesn't have to, then who is gonna work for him? if he has the rep of taking care of his assts, then more top qualified guys will be interested in working for him. is it that hard to understand?

This is why Miles waited, Instead of firing them he knew they would get other jobs. He wasn't gonna shite on his pals likes that. So all you rantards who said he wouldn't make a change.

What if no one hires these two? Should he fire them and then you'll have to say he shite on his pals?

These are just interviews and if Miles is lucky they will get hired.

Do you mean personally? Or do you mean that you feel that our defense wasn't that good this year? Or do you mean that you don't feel that he is a good posiitons coach, recruiter... what?

These are good coaches. Some of these posts are from guys who never played a down and did not coach little league. These coaches will get these jobs or ones that are really good. Miles is very kind to put his job on the line to help his buds get good jobs. I admire him for this.

Umm, Stoker should have been fired last year.
