A&M has played UGA exactly 1 time as a member of the SEC. UGA won 19-13 in 2019 in Athens.

Supposedly playing same 8 opponents next two years in a row too. Crazy
I’m not sure why people are reacting this way to the announcement
And completing the home-and-away in consecutive years is arguably the more appropriate option than allowing a gulf. You get rematches with mostly the same teams instead of them looking completely different years later

Because no one liked the old system and we thought it would be fixed to play more opponents more frequently, instead now we're going back to back years playing the exact same teams so seemingly getting worse unless everyone plays the other 7 teams in 2026 which I doubt is going to happen.
There have been lots of discussions on message boards regarding how to fix the schedule over the years that's easy and makes sense, but the conference seems to be unable to figure it out or make it more difficult than it needs to be. Hence the reactions.
I'm personally hoping this is just more can kicking until the next wave or realignment or trying to get ESPN to pony up for the 9th game.

I think all signs point to this being can kicking. If by next year they can't sort the 9th game we have a problem

12:45 kickoff is fine by me
