Did you go to the closest hospital in an urban location? If you can drive, and they tell you the wait is several hours, just drive out to a nice hospital in the suburbs.

A hospital in Longview Tex has billboards in Shreveport encouraging folks to drive the hour+ and have no wait for ER. They have the expected wait time on their site. Currently 2 minutes.
