A buddy of mine says there is an old technique for making crab stock that involves smashing live crabs in a stock pot. Anyone heard of this?
He says it is the best crab stock imaginable.

I’ve used fresh live crabs for a French Brie and crab bisque. I like to remove the dead man first.
