Boeing: Only gonna give you the tip, make you a little bit pregnant
I have a bridge in Brooklyn for any dipshits that still think unions, government and anyone connected with collective bargaining have your best interests at heart ...

As seen in this document sent to Sens. Maria Cantwell of Washington and Ted Cruz of Texas by Jennifer Homendy, chairwoman of the NTSB, the board tried to find out from Boeing who worked on the aircraft, specifically the door, at the repair facility the plane was sent to in September of 2023 before it ended up in Alaska.
First, Boeing told the NTSB that the company didn't have any records documenting the repair work.
Then, when the NTSB investigators made a "verbal request" for the security camera footage of the repair, the investigators "were informed the footage was overwritten."

quote:yeah I'm thinking maintenance records requirements on aircraft responsible for the lives of 6 million people per day would be pretty stringent.

Bull...freaking....shite. Every component on an aircraft has some type of repair log that documents what work was performed, when the work was performed, and who performed the work. You can't change the oil in a airplane without logging the maintenance.

Under the terms of the deal, Boeing admitted to defrauding the FAA by concealing safety problems with the 737 Max, and agreed to pay $2.5 billion in fines and compensation to airlines and relatives of the crash victims.Jan 26, 2023

Airbus doesn't have the same diversity requirements that Boeing South Carolina have, Playas

That manager and quality manager about to be goats......scape goats.
These excuses are laughable. The FAA has some liability as well. They continue to let Boeing do self inspections.

Just like most fed agencies, the FAA is there for the big $ people/corporations, not the taxpayer.

Such a simple explanation. But this leaves no room for the musings of conspiracy theorists.

Right, because a company would never delete proof that they screwed up. Nope, corporations with billions on the line are totally honest. It's those crazy conspiracy theorists that are the problem, not the company whose planes keep falling out of the sky.
It's amazing the lengths people who are incapable of believing anything that isn't told to them by the mainstream will go to to continue living in ignorance. Critical thinking is dead for the majority of the populace.

I feel like we're overdue for a major air disaster on American soil.

Whoever is trying to hide that maintenance log needs to go to jail.
