I have no party affiliation and vote for candidates and not parties.

I’ve never considered NOT voting but I’m almost leaning that way this year. For no reason other than a form of protest. It’s been 4 years since the last election and THIS is the best we can do?!

I left the GOP several years ago and will not go back. I can vote in Oklahoma Democrat Primaries (open) but not Republican (closed).

I don't vote for teams. People excuse their preferred teams of ridiculous actions, just like fans excuse the fact that their favorite cfb team is full of thugs and criminals. Team vote anyone?

I'll dislike whichever politician I damn well feel like hating on. And I'll vote for whomever I damn well feel like represents me best.

There's no amount of "vote-shaming" from others that will make me do a damn thing I don't want to do.

That's why I'm a registered Republican. We have a ton of Americans complaining about the presidential ticket that don't bother to vote in primaries, and they need to get off their arse if they want to see change.

Bingo. I've literally called this phenomenon "team sports politics" for years. There's no logic under the sun that will ever convince me to root for the longhorns. Idc what argument is presented. It's great for sports rivalries, but horrible when people approach politics that way. There's too much nuance for that binary approach to be reasonable, yet our system rewards folks for doing exactly that (or playing upon such binary predilections for their own benefit).

I've grown to hate all politicians. As a general rule. Red or blue, IDGAF at this point. I have more respect for people with an OnlyFans than someone who has had a political campaign fund.

And it isn't close, either.
