How much would we have won by with normal refs?

We were easily the better team and IMO the way we played we would have won by 10-15 with a normal called game.

Its amazing how Birmingham won't let win the conference.

They have beaten us like 14 straight times or something.

They are the more complete team.

But Mulkey has us nipping at them and will eventually break through the wall.

At that point, Dawn will be Dusk as the sun sets on South Carolina.

If there's anything I've learned from watching both men's and women's college basketball, watching college football, watching college baseball and softball, it's this:

THOSE WERE NORMAL REFS.

They're all fricking terrible.

That's a stretch.

Do you think so? Do you think officiating accounted for a 17 to 22-point swing? I think LSU could have won it with better officiating, sure, but I don't see a 17-point swing unless LSU also cleans up their passing as well. Too many turnovers and too many poor shot selections.

These are two telling stats.

Turnovers LSU-17, SC-13

FGs LSU-25/67 for 37.3%, SC-28/65 for 43.1

Here are a couple of surprising stats to me

Fouls LSU-15, SC-16 This seemed like it would have been a bit different based on the calls that were missed on SC.

Rebounds: LSU dominated here, particularly on the offensive glass.
Off LSU-17, SC-11
Def LSU-27, SC-26
Total LSU-44, SC-37

We played like shite. Way too many turnovers and missed layups.

If we shoot 4 less air ball layups, we win. Or even 4 less layups that hit the underside of the backboard.

It was a pathetic display.

The team would have won if it hadn't gone cold for a period of time in the second half. It wasn't the refs. It's 100% in the control of this team whether they win it all.

Missed layups and points off of turnovers lost the game. Turnovers didn’t seem too lopsided, but they were in open space and SC outmatched LSU guards for easy points.

We easily win that game with even mildly competent refs that weren’t corrupt. Make no mistake about it, the gump refs had their marching orders. Birmingham will try its hardest to prevent us from having success.
