Neither Trump nor Biden.

... not tax rate.

i.e., When does a government taxing at a 15% rate take in more taxes than one charging a 60% rate? When the 15% rate is assessed against a 5-fold larger basis.

A classic example of the importance of revenue rather than rate focus was the Clinton luxury tax. Catchment tax rates were substantially increased. Catchment tax revenue substantially decreased.

The message I get from the MAGA folks here is the economy is no longer really an issue because Trump cant do anything about it.

Which seems weird when they constantly praise his early years when the trajectory was the same as Obamas.

Sir, he has accomplished more in life than you could dream. You're not allowed to criticize him for this reason.

Probably.

And nothing will change. Just like his previous 4 years.

He wasn't referring to tax rates. He was referring to the rate of growth of the debt. You try to hard to sound smart by only sounding stupid.

Nothing new. We EXPECT the democrat to frick us. We didn’t expect our guy to frick us, after stating clearly that he wouldn’t. But, he did.

Now we’re expected to forget it and get fricked again, just because we all still EXPECT the democrat to frick us. Surely you see the lunacy in this. Screeching “rehire this man who fricked us and will again because immigration! judges! abortion! guns and ammo!” just doesn’t get it done anymore. It’s like the welfare brood mare holding up her toddler and screeching “you gotta pay me cause muh babeeeeee!”

It's amazing how the Trump cultists completely absolve him of any responsibility regarding inflation. He owns his share of responsibility just like Biden.

Again, why Biden is irrelevant to this thread.

Conservatives frown on deficit spending, period.

Keynesians (liberal) believe you need to deficit spend in down times to boost the economy.

Modern Monetary Theory (Democratic Socialists) believe deficit spending isnt a problem and it should be practiced even during times of full employment.

MAGA rails against the elites while supporting economic policies that benefit the elites over the working guy.
