They're all Chinese in the book. So even the white people shouldn't be there if you're wanting accurate

That’s how I want it. Just like the book.

I don’t give a crap if there isn’t one white person in it if the books are that way. In fact I don’t want to see a white person in it if the books are written that way.

I’m not mad at you for that. The closer to the source the better. Sounds like you should try Amazons version too. But I think it’s safe to say that the person I was responding too, who didn’t know anything about the source, wasn’t upset because there were two white people added, he just didn’t want a black and Indian guy in there. So make it diverse, but just in the way I want.

Set entirely in China, filmed in Mandarin with subtitles? Personally I am glad they adapted it for a western audience.

Not every adaptation of a novel needs to be 100% accurate to the source. The Three-Body Problem is not LotR. Moving the setting from China to Oxford makes sense IMO.

As for the show itself, I watched it over the weekend. I thought it was good for the most part, but the structure of the season was a little odd. Felt like there were elements in the second half of the season that really would have made more sense in the first half of a season 2.
