Yep, it sucked, but the process definitely named the best team as National Champs, so we just have to suck it up.

sure, Alabama going 1-1 at home and a neutral field definitely makes them the better team.

Don’t need them to win the SEC to know that

Best coach not best team, A Miles vs. Saban rematch was never going to end another way. Miles running 100 toss dives and short side options into a 10 man front of future NFL players.

The "process" was fundamentally flawed. It tried to pair the two "best" teams in a last game. That should never be the goal. Rather, it should always be to determine the single best team to the exclusion of the most number of other teams - on the field, not in some committee's mind.

Alabama’s “punishment” for losing the game of the century on their home field was…. getting a free pass to the BCS aka “Every Game Counts” National Championship game.

LSU’s “reward” for beating Alabama was having to face a top ten UGA team in the SEC Championship game in order to earn another chance to play the team they already beat for a championship.

Said another way, Bama “only” had to go 1-1 vs LSU with a home game and a neutral game to win the championship.

LSU had to go 3-0 vs Bama & UGA with a road and two neutral games.

I look at other travesties in the history of sports like Roy Jones Jr in 88 or the 72 Olympic basketball team, and the difference is this wasn’t an instant decision but a conspiracy that was openly discussed and advocated for by the pro Bama ESPn Jihad for weeks.

LSU should rightfully claim the 2011 National Championship. I believe that two of the NCAA recognized polling organizations awarded it to US. It’s far more legit than about 8 of the 18 the Gumps claim.
