Maybe I am wrong, but Milam’s at bats look better to me. He seems to do a better job at almost everything. Milam only has 2 less walks than Kling. The only differences are hit by pitches and a huge batting average difference.

You’re right. It should much higher considering we haven’t entered SEC play and the pitching will get better.
Why are you so mad about a discussion on a message board?

The idiot will want to bench Milam the next time he gets out. I truly wonder if the OP knows how stupid his post is.

That was a good at bat by Kling.

Let me ask you this since I pissed in everyone’s cheerios. In his 2nd year does it feel like he’s the 6th best high school player in the country and the highest rated baseball player to ever come to LSU (highest rated is off of memory, could be wrong)

No. The rant has made their decisions and they will stick to them. Milam could go 0 for his next 20 and Kling could go 15 for his next 20 and their minds will not change.

It’s not a competition. Why are baseball fans so dumb
Posted on 3/8/24 at 9:17 pm to Double Down
Well you’re wrong. Milam is on fire and deserves to start. How dumb are you think you know what I’m thinking.

I will come back in about 20-25 games and eat crow if Kling turns it up. I think SEC pitching won’t be giving away free passes and hit by pitches like he has been getting. He will need to hit better.

You know how when you are on the grass board, and you are giving people advice on their lawns, and your thoughts/opinions are trusted because you know grass?
Well Jay Johnson has an expertise in baseball. So maybe just shut the frick up.

So you’ve made your decision? Kling could go 0-30 and you’d want him at leadoff?

Kling won't go 0 for 30. He puts too many good swings on the ball, and hits it too hard, for them not to find grass.
But also, I never said anything about him staying at leadoff. Your OP ask who else could play CF. So you suggested not that he shouldn't lead off, you suggested he shouldn't be playing.

Sorry, I thought people could discuss opinions. I love CJJ and I think he’s the best coach in the country. I don’t like kling in the leadoff.
As far as the “grass board” plenty people discuss things and we don’t all do it the same. We have discussions

Baseball is an interesting sport. It’s a combination of a team and an individual sport. Typically if you don’t hit you don’t play. Fortunately Milam and Kling are both good defensively so they will both likely stay in the lineup. Who the leadoff batter will be will play out. I do not care. I hope Kling starts to hit better. This only benefits the team.

He's still a sophomore. Give him a shot. He isn't going anywhere

I’m not saying he’s terrible. He’s fast and good defensively. I was hoping offensive production would be there.
I hope he wins the golden spikes and someone bumps this post and calls me a fricking moron.

It’s hard to not like what Milan has brought to the table. Having said that, I’d like to think we aren’t going to sit here and pick apart what our National Champion head coach is doing when we’re sitting here with one loss and he has earned the benefit of the doubt. Let things play out a bit and don’t be a bunch of a-hole fans on a message board criticizing a talent on our team.

Grass is his thing. Other stuff is outside his compression.
Never gets old.
