Okay, I can buy that. A huge temper tantrum.

violently stormed the capitol to overthrow the government.
A huge temper tantrum is not an attempt to overthrow the f'n government.

Nah, you are just so caught up in your own mindless bullshite
I'd argue that the guy that believes a huge temper tantrum is tantamount to a bunch of wound up yahoos trying to overthrow the most powerful government the world has ever known - he's the one that's caught up in his own mindless bullshite.

They are trying to scare the hell out of people for when they pull the "in your face steal 2.0" this fall.

The protestors for Kavanaugh had no realistic aspirations for stopping the proceedings and while it can technically be the case, in this instance it did not represent a transfer of power.
Your rationalization is not really true. Kavanaugh was a significant transfer of power within the Supreme Court. Not of the same magnitude, but nonetheless a significant transfer of power. Neither of the demonstrations succeeded in anything more than a minor delay.
This is just another case of "That's (D)ifferent," in our dem termite infested, two tier "justice system."

It is when you storm the Capitol with the intent of disrupting the transfer of power so that you can undemocratically install your guy.

I'm not saying they are smart people.

I already addressed this early but that is just not true. Again, Kennedy was a Regan appointee and primarily voted in line with right wing justices. Even provided a link with his vote history.
Sure, replacing a lean right with a hard right is a difference, but it's pretty negligible and nowhere near the scope of the Executive.

You have to wonder why one side desperately wants to keep the surveillance footage hidden while the other side wants everything released.
If you could think for yourself the answer is obvious. Unlike you, I’m aware of the human nature for confirmation bias and tribalism and keep myself in check in that regard.

Funny how they have geo-fenced every granny, but the cell data for the fed pipe bomber at DNC headquarters was magically corrupted.

Everyone is entitled to opinions.
Luckily I can just watch the video of these “violent” protesters.
I can watch Babbitt being murdered.
I don’t need you to tell me what happened. And thank God for that based on your comments.

Scarecrow.
The other side having concerns about security details that could be gained, after a mob literally tried to take over the capitol while chanting about hanging the vice president is pretty reasonable. As is having concerns about the state of the footage, post editing. Tons of footage has been released already and if Republicans really wanted it out there without to show any kind of truth and not just a propaganda jerk off film for dumb conservatives they would be happy to release it from a bipartisan committee, which they are not.

Oh, bullshite. Our government was never in peril or threatened one iota on J6.
You were accurate in describing it a tantrum. It was. A (property) destructive tantrum.
You're irrational AF calling it an attempt to overthrow the $6 trillion per year federal government defended by the most powerful military the world has ever seen.

That was the last door in between the mob and the chamber. If you think it's reasonable to allow people to break through there and put the lives of all the people on the other side at risk, you are a fricking psycho.

Damn, who is there left to arrest? People who know people who were there?
MTG was right.
MTG was right.

So what happens if they make it through to the chamber? They just shake hands with all the people on the other side? Sing kumbaya and talk about how much they love America?

No. Why would you think those having a tantrum would suddenly start singing Kumbaya?
But not singing Kumbaya is not the test for "attempting to overthrow the government".

January 6th was a much more serious matter, and those that participated are being dealt with accordingly. The only ways that you can disagree with that is A) you do not have a basic understanding of government, or B) you hate America.
If you still believe that, in March 2024, after all the facts that have come out about it, then you maybe mentally handicapped. That, or programmed to the point of no return.

Unarmed overthrowing of the government?
It would be a first in the history of the world.
You can’t be serious with the bullshite you’re spewing. Seems like you are the one ignoring the obvious.
Like I said, not a single person charged with insurrection.

Interesting.
Especially from a person that just called Ashli Babbitt a suicide.
Do as I say not as I do?
Once again. Thank God for the video. We see.
