The most ridiculous argument ever. If a business needs $20 inspection stickers to survive, they don’t need to be in business. AND citizens should not be required to pay for inspections purely to keep those businesses afloat.

It's even funnier they stated that because I believe the shop only gets like 20% of that for issuing it.

There's places around here and that's all they do. They are open only for inspections.

Id be willing to drive by and hand them $30 to stay in business if it meant not having to undergo an inspection.

The business only gets half of that money. The state gets 5 and the business gets 5 on a 10 tag.

What's wild is that we have a place where I live that only does inspection stickers. That's it. There's no inspection happening, but you pay your 20 and yet a sticker. I don't understand how it stays afloat. Building is old, no frills. Surprised electricity is run to the place.

In NJ the inspections are free, but must be done. That would make more sense if the purpose was to actually inspect vehicles
