are as good as I've ever eaten. Got a 100 count sack this past weekend and they were perfectly plump, firm and very salty. Saw the Pascale's Manale post that promped me to post this one.Anyone else eaten them lately?

Oh man I wish I was in Louisiana right now!!
I just paid $14 for a dozen out here in San Fran! The ONLY reason I bought them was because it was for our Anniversary dinner!!
Got them from HERE and they were alright, but $14 is just out of control!
You guys will get a laugh out of this. This seafood market in the Ferry Building here had GULF PRAWNS (HAHA) for $24.99/lb!!! shite is comical!!

DIZAMM!! My girlie is very upset after hearing that!! AND to think until I had to pratically FORCE her to try a raw oyster she didn't even like them!

i can walk to Cassamento's and they are excellent right now. Grabbed a sack from Big Fisherman and they were dirty as shite on the inside, so not sure what that is all about. But, that place generally blows.

.Captain Avery's in Monroe. Call Byron ahead and he'll make sure he has a sack for you. I try to call no later than Wed. to get a sack by Friday. He'll always tell you how good they've been running

Tony's Seafood has some really good oysters right now... I bought a couple of 100 count sacks within the last couple of weeks. I believe they were 22$. Nice!

Last year I would get them at Folse Seafood in Gonzales. They're close until the 15th though because of holiday catering. I'll have to check out Tony's. Kind of a drive from Ascension though.

Anyone know where to get a decent sack of oysters in the shreveport area. The only place I can find them is farmer's, and it is really a half sack for double the price.

In BR-does anyone sell a half or quarter sack. 100 oysters is too many for my needs. I asked at Tony's. They said no---mentioned a dept. of natural resoureces law???

That's what I would get at Folse's in Gonzales. I talked to the owner on Sunday and he said the guy that sells the half sacks to his store also goes to a place in Donaldsonville. I don't remember the name, but I can find out.
I may call Tommy's Fish House in Prairieville to see if they sell them.

Chimes 4-7 everday 35 cent oysters
A dozen is only like $4.20
They're usually very good too

Donaldsonville, LA 70346

I'm going by Tommy's this afternoon and will ask them.
I might also check out La. Oyster. It's a lot closer.

Just buy a fresh shucked quart, half gallon or gallon from Tony's.
I like the 20 buck sacks.
I buy shucked from Wilson's Oyster House in Houma all the time.
