The teaser for Strange Days is a generally forgotten one that is really good.
It is Ralph Fiennes in his “futuristic drug dealer” character from the film doing his pitch for “SQUID” clips.

Star Wars Episode 1 teaser trailer. I took a girl to see Meet Joe Black. The theater was packed. I was kind of surprised that there were so many people there for what was basically a chick flick. Then the previews started, and the green Lucasfilm logo appeared on the screen. I had no idea another Star Wars movie was being made. After the teaser ended, the theater erupted in applause. Then 90% of the theater got up and left. People had bought tickets to the movie just to see the trailer. The movie itself was a disappointment, but the excitement surrounding a new Star Wars movie was great to be a part of.

I'll add TV shows. The first trailer for the 'last of us' was fantastic. I loved the use of 'alone and forsaken.'

My wife and I were big fans of Thomas Harriss’s novel,Silence of the Lambs. The first trailer for the movie was great and captured the mood.
