Take all patch is gonna be a bitch in dfw this year. Any St Aug that might think about living will be dead in a month.

I’m on my 3rd season with SA this spring and I pretty much hate it.

Easily the most temperamental grass I’ve ever had to deal with.

It’s like dating a model, looks great occasionally in public but a huge pain in the arse to deal with the rest of the time.

I live in Allen Tx, my wife and i went for a walk the other day and our neighborhoods lawn's are damn near checkerboard house to house. Some are just dead looking brown still and others have turned totally green. Mine is the brown section of the checkerboard unfortunately. The only green section is a little 1 foot line where i had to replace my main water line last fall and just bought some zoysia quick grow patch to put over the dirt afterward and watered to get something to grow.

What's the steps to convert the lawn? If I lay down bermuda isn't take all patch in the soil? Won't it affect the new sod?
