Because they probably had a stressful career. Stress is almost just as bad. Creates alot of inflammation in the body

Cortisol bad.
I've made efforts to reduce it in my life. I suggest others do the same. Changes everything about your mental and physical well-being. Focus on sleeping, laying off caffeine until you've had time to eat and get moving in the morning, breathing exercises (which I do in the shower in the morning and before bed, takes 1 minute), 30 minute walks every day, etc. Little stuff that really manages cortisol in the body.

Also these things have limited alcohol cravings for me. I still drink but far less because I'm so stressed out and moreso because I just like a good scotch .
