No Country for Old Men is the best movie they’ve made as filmmakers.
It is. I think seeing it way more times as any of their other movies, had some bearing on why I didn't list it as my favorite. I've probably watched Blood Simple and Fargo four or five times since they came out 40 and 28 years ago. Since No Country came out 17 years ago, I know I've seen it 15 or 20 times. I still have cable. If it's on, and I know it, I'm watching.

Even though I saw Blood Simple once in the last six months, I may be thinking nostalgically about it and Fargo. I haven't seen the Fargo movie in a while, but I've watched the series all along. The creation of the series definitely figures into my ranking it so high. I'd sort of like a hot mom having a hot daughter. It just deserves a little more appreciation.

Blood Simple (1984)
Fargo (1996)
No Country for Old Men (2007)
