I’m pursuing my PPL in BR right now and having a blast!
Who are you training with? I'm a rusty pilot who is looking at knocking off the rust and start flying again. I've been looking at Plane Nuts Aviation at Louisiana Regional along with Gulf Coast Aviation at BTR.

Since both Owens at LFT and Aviation academy at KARA are both recommended, do yall think it’s better to do flight school at a busy airport so that you are used to more traffic or a smaller airport like new Iberia?

I’m enrolled with Gulf Coast. Good group of people. 4 aircraft (172’s) mean you’re likely to get the training slot you want. Maintenance is very good
Highly recommend Katie, Ryan, and Brandon.
Flying out of BTR is great. It’s busy at times but slow at others. It definitely teaches you how to operate in active airspace
