Atlanta, NO, and TB were skewed some bc of how horrendous Carolina was. Adding 4-30 (.118) to every one of their schedules drug down winning %. Maybe someone who cares more will get the median of the nfl w-l to see if it's the same.

There’s always some excuse
Look at the QBs the Saints faced. As someone pointed out in another thread we played several teams with back up QBs. It was an easy schedule for a team in win now mode to miss the playoffs is a bad sign

Isn’t it a bit of a wash because having a team that bad in it gave the other 3 teams two free spaces ?

The following things are not up for debate:
1. Our division is bad
2. We had an easy schedule made even easier by catching some back up QBs
3. With a roster and qb specifically brought in to take advantage of the the first two points, we still failed to make the playoffs.

This wasn’t a good football team that caught some bad breaks and barely missed the playoffs. It was a bad to mediocre team that caught breaks to even be in position to make them
