I don’t know if you understand that all the grievance the players need is that they’re not getting enough of the value (in their opinion) they’re creating for the TV contracts these conferences and schools are signing

They may be ecstatic about NIL, but lawyers will make it their job to tell players that there’s more money out there (think of the lawyers on TV who say you don’t pay if you don’t win your case).

The creation of such a union will be what really codifies the SEC and Big Ten (and maybe the Big 12) over everyone else in college football. Other conferences as a whole can’t afford what those power leagues will be able to give players.
