Not to mention I’m terribly depressed by this. I was recently diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa and will lose most of my vision.

My dog was an enormous comfort. The thought of losing her is too much to bear. I know that sounds crazy

Dang, man. That’s rough and I’m sorry to hear that. Saying a prayer for you, your family and the pup.

Like I said if they didnt do rads and/or ultrasound you need to get it done. Especially if the labs were fine.

Not crazy at all, we've all been there it's a tremendous loss.

I'm going through it now, just hanging on until he gives me the sign he's ready. For now though, as long and he eats a bit and drinks and not in pain we're good. But he's slowly but surely fading away the past week.

No, it does not sound crazy.

Pets are definitely a comfort in many ways and particularly when one is going through a rough time. Their unconditional love can go a long way.

I'm dealing with an issue with my 16 year kitty. I lost the other one about a year ago. It's that time in her life and I'm trying to maintain a positive atmosphere. Tough stuff.
