Instead, they chose Ms. Marvel, who's had multiple canceled runs to the point where they've already killed her off. They chose Iron Heart, who's chronically at the bottom of sales charts for comics.

The X-Men (along with the FF) are the among the most famous characters in comic history. They don't need to breathe. They'd print money if done correctly.
