In case people are not aware, in the UK right now they are having hearings about Assange. My understanding is that this series of hearings could mandate that he is released or that he is extradited to the US.

If he's sent to the US, he won't get a fair trial, and he'll die in prison. If he's released, I'm sure the CIA already has people on the ground to kill him.

A conviction in the US would mean that journalists / publishers would then be fair game for the security state to target.

Trump should have pardoned him.

I wondered what was going on. I know Richard Medhurst (Syrian/British guy) is there. Caitlin Johnstone tweeted that Consortium News twitter was going to do some updates. I think Greenwald was going to cover it tonight.

Trump pussed out because Lindsey, Turtle, and Rubio hung impeachment over his head.

Always heard that Richard Grenell was also in that mix of not wanting Trump to pardon Assange

Funny you mention that. Greenwald tweeted something about that and Ric was pissed. One of the only times I have seen Greenwald backpedal. Greenwald then had Ric on his show. I think what Ric said was he just took orders on what the transfer mechanisms would be for Assange, but it wasn't really his decision. Pompeo was the main guy in Trump's ear about it.

I could definitely see Pompeo in that mix

Extradition will be granted.

The IC has made it clear to the UK that this will happen. Our commitment to get Assange is “unmovable,” to use Blinken’s word.

We are targeting and about to imprison a man for life because he published evidence of our government committing war crimes, breaking its own laws, and violating the Constitution.

That's a good question, but it serves as no excuse for Trump's inaction.

The prosecution is doing this weird dance where they acknowledge that Assange could be given the death penalty if extradited, refuse to offer any assurances that he won't be given the death penalty if extradited, but still say he should be extradited anyway, because trust me bro.

But he didn’t, and, in fact, his administration through Pompeo sought to kidnap assange to the US.

You are right. And while we're at it your boy Biden should show up Trump and pardon Assange right now. That would really get Trump.

Yep. The irony of it all. Donald Trump is being pursued for fear he will do what Assange did - expose what was in those Top Secret documents - as in the lies and deception of a corrupt government.

So my question is this. How long after the CIA gets their hands of Assange will we see a CIA version of the Navalny assassination?

Freedom isn't free. It was paid for with the blood of Patriots.

If he gets released hopefully he finds sanctuary and can realize peace.

If he gets extradited here hopefully Trump wins.
