Lafayette Restaurant similar to the old Don's?

Looking for old school sort of seafood place.

Not too fancy but not too casual/divey either.

Does such a place exist there anymore??? Help me out.

not sure if there is a middendorfs out there, but they have a very similar menu to dons, except they dont use tomatoes in their stuffed crabs

I’ve never been past the bar area….no idea what’s back there

I actually prefer to sit in the bar area. Wish they would do live music like Bon Temps, but they’d have to make the place bigger. No room as crowded as that area gets.

Agree, like the food at Riverside more than Don’s. Then Don’s old fashioneds, though.
