He’s a 3 technique.
The majority of his highlights, show Sweat at NT. He’s either 0 Gap, 1 Gap, or 2 Gap. Rarely is he shown lined up on the outside shoulder of the RG/LG, playing 3 tech (which he does at times). He’s earn his reputation attacking the A gaps of college offenses and he was surprisingly good at it.

The folks that track every play have him lining up in the B Gap for 402 of his 503 snaps. That jives with the highlights I’ve watched. Which tape are you pulling from? UTs fronts are pretty unique.
The guy is a behemoth, he certainly can play NT. At the end of the day I’m not sure the label will matter, he’s going to be blowing up the interior of the defense

Just my personal opinion but I feel the gap between a 1st round graded great run stopping DT and a 3rd round graded good run stopping DT isn't really that drastic. If you are going after a DT in the first round I would rather go for one that can rush the QB with consistency.

I don’t disagree. They need to be able to play all three downs if you are taking him in the first. He did it in college and the data reflects an effective pass rusher, though it may not show out in individual statistics. I’m not married to this guy, just thought the explosiveness for the size is intriguing. If the combine measures back up the tape he will shoot up boards

The Saints absolutely have to get better on the d line.
Hopefully Verse or Dallas turner fall to 14. 2 different types of pass rushers.
I just don't see how they are going to fix both lines with one draft.
You need a young end, a young dt, a young premier tackle, and another guard.

Guards and centers can be found throughout the draft. Perhaps run stuffing DT's but I think you can afford a vet for that in FA.
But day one tackles and edge rushers are hard to get. At 14 there will be a nice group of WR, CB, DE and T to choose from.
Really hoping Foskey can improve on his 85 snaps this year.

I feel like its going to be Oline the more I look at it. Every draft analyst I've looked at has between 7 to 10 Olinemen with first round grades in this draft. You are going to have 3 QBs and at least 2 maybe 3 WR go before our pick so we are guaranteed to have a good Olineman when we pick. With Ram's knees Pennings refusal to be worth a damn (I still have a little hope) Peat not even a decent lineman anymore. We are down to McCoy and Ruiz as our online viable sure fire starters.

Sweat is my homie. One of the first people I met when I moved to ATX. Great dude, would love to have him on the Saints.

I’d love to see him and Bralon (possibly spelled wrong) Trice drafted in this draft.
I have a feeling Trice will move up boards.

I think there is a lot of Dline depth in this draft.
Both inside and out. There will be solid pass rushers available in the second round and interior guys in later rounds.
That first pick needs to be OT in my opinion.
Probably why I’m not a NFL gm, but I wouldn’t mind every pick being either Oline or Dline.
You get one or two to hit and it’s a good draft.
I do find the tight end out of Penn State as a potential steal and Pratt from Tulane as a good QB prospect.

I wouldn’t take him. He reeks of Jonathan Sullivan.

Man 366 at the combine you prepared for is well...concerning.

T’Vondre Sweat at 366 lbs just ran his 40 yard dash in 5.27 seconds and it was FLUID. Sweat’s adjusted 40 time at his height and weight is like an 180 pound DB running a 4.26

May not be the space eater we need but Fiske caught my eye. Going to shoot up boards

Pay FA edge is paying premium for anything above average. Wouldn't bother me though if they picked two OTs right off the bat if they thought they could start.
