I just have to get this off my mind. About 8 years ago, one of my daughters and her new fiancé came over for Christmas. Now, the young man was small goat roper, and I do come off a little strong when it comes to my girls. FIFY. Maybe, just maybe, this isn't the real reason she doesn't talk to you. Could it be she thinks you are a raging emotional toxic alcoholic instead, and this episode was just icing on the cake? Perhaps you just "admit" you did it, for the greater good of getting the family back together. If you love your daughter, you'll sacrifice anything (including yourself) to have and protect her.
