I feel good after replacing 6 major guys in the lineup

Pearson kinda was the odd man out until Jones stopped hitting and Morgan went back to 1B He’ll settle into a role this year
That’s my point though. He’s a damn good ball player and can play all over the place. Someone somewhere in this lineup will not be there halfway through the season. Pearson is the first one up in pretty much all of those situations.

We have had 3 very different lineups the last 3 days. Will be interesting what we see tomorrow.

Don't be surprised to see Brown and Neal vs RHP with Jones and Travinski vs LHP.

If jones cant hit the ball vs sec pitchers that will serve up off speed pitchers most of the time to him, then Brown may go to 1B, Milam to 2B, and Pearson to OF

I don’t think Travinski comes out of this lineup at any point this season barring injury or a massive slump. His bat is gonna play imo

Agreed. His bat plays especially as the arms speed up. He was very uncomfortable hitting 82-84 mph pitching.

Yea theres no reason either Travinski or Neal come out of the lineup

Talent wise I agree with Neal but they seem to want to be very careful with Neal’s back. Maybe they get more comfortable with it as the season moves on but for now I’m expecting him to take midweeks and one game per weekend off.

I’m very high on this team and I think they can repeat as NCs.
Same here.
Hope we make the field and win our last game.

LSU wins 90% of the regionals they host and 75% of the supers they’ve hosted so very good shot of making it to Omaha if they win 18 SEC games, IMO to clinch a national seed.
CJJ is the type of guy that keeps his team from playing down to competition so I don’t see us losing any more than a few OOC games. 40+ wins this regular season for the tigers!

Doubtful. He was supposed to be odd man out last year and he just kept hitting.
He hit about .215 last season until the Georgia series (last regular season weekend).

Having 3 catchers in the lineup in some way almost all the time seemed like an impossible situation, but it’s worked so far

They just set a record for runs and played error free
In all fairness, White had an error at third and I have no idea how the scorer ruled that a hit.

Neal hit great today, but we were facing right handed pitchers who were throwing 87 mph. Neal is going to have to prove it against elite pitching before I say he’s a lock for the every day lineup.
But Jay is super high on him so he may just continue to hit no matter who is pitching.

Last years team was all but set from beginning This years team has a lot more moving parts and roles to be sorted out in lineup and on mound Will know a lot more after the trip to Houston I think this team can be much deeper compared to the top end star talent you had last season

You are the last person who should be commenting on this team. fricking troll. Didn’t everyone tell you to STFU and just enjoy the season

He’s high on him for a reason, Neal was a very high prospect in the 2022 draft. And he’s young for his class, he just turned 19 in the fall. Unreal upside.

It was a tough play but the scorer was generous
Jones ability to play 1st will determine a lot of what happens with this lineup. He has made a few tough plays that I wouldn’t have held against him for bobbling, but he’s also had a few easier plays that he’s made look tough.
