Pooof! And just like that Trey Holly has ruined his chances as a RB for a major collegiate football SEC school and potential lucrative NFL career. Sad.
Yep, fatherless sons is a scourge in this country. So many young men (and women) lacking guidance throw away their lives in a litany of bad choices.
America, save and encourage the institution of traditional family and you save your county.

Exactly what I meant. If he’s in college in Southern California he’s not at home a random weekend in February

He went to college 4 hours away. Trey Holly is the problem, not his hometown
He brought trouble to his hometown, his hometown didn’t bring trouble to him

ESPN Monroe radio host was on Jordy’s show this morning and said that this started as a fight and Trey’s sister was involved and that is probably why he is in this mess.

I love how the thread (I think yesterday) got whacked. Cancel the news and freedom to discuss. BS...

This a classic example of why recruiting kids for their athletic ability only to an academic university is not a good idea. Something tells me that this is not his first brush with the law. I pray for the innocent victims that unfortunately got caught up in a bad situation. If Holly is guilty, he needs to spend a long time in prison because he is clearly a danger to society!

No doubt, peer pressure can encourage a good person to do stupid things, liker destroying property, shoplifting, etc., but it CANNOT make a good person commit a premeditated act of extreme violence that is meant to result in the death of another person.

The story I heard was these people were threatening to harm his sister. Doesn't excuse it but puts it in some context.

His family has a GoFundMe for attorney fees. Currently has $435

He’s toast, regardless. Move on; no longer on team.
There are plenty of people in your own home, family and community you can look up to. At least you actually are close enough to them to know who they are.

Stop making excuses for this type of behavior. That is step one and the main reason this happens. No one holds them accountable and is always looking for an excuse.

Why in the world does that matter? Being suspended matters when you are at school and the suspension is a penalty that prevents you from participating with the team. Holly will be kicked out of school as well.
Because the post that I was responding to was idiotically trying to relate Holly to Brandon Miller.

the kid has an NIL deal with Gordon McKernan. GoFundMe seems totally unnecessary

TLDR; Pretty much said all that to say that good people can make dumb, stupid and often life altering decisions to please the wrong people and sometimes you don't realize how good you had it until it goes away.
Sounds like he sprayed a place & shot an innocent person. Scum.
If that’s “what you think is cool”, then you’re a dumbass — Not a good person doing bad things. Can’t believe that needs to be said, but here we are.

Got anything to back this up or are you just shitting on him behind a hunch?

I have not read the entire thread but I would caution everyone to not jump to judgment. Being charged does not equate to guilt and law enforcement often tends to over charge people. Kids tend to do stupid things and if this kid is guilty, his future is down the drain. But it is possible that for whatever reason, the charges could be reduced or dropped. I understand the suspension from the team, but I would expect he won't be kicked out of school without some sort of serious conviction.

Let’s give the kid the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe people should wait to see what actually happened and his involvement before passing any judgement.

You think Gordon is still going to keep paying him?
