The dude adds a youthful element to counter balance Trumps age. It is important because age always comes up with Trump v Biden. Vivek negates that to an extent.

He checks the youth and minority boxes for those that are influenced by those things.

And he is wicked smart and a fantastic communicator.

He doesn't remove himself from a governors spot by being VP either.

He is simply adding (high) value to MAGA.

Do people disagree? Wouldn't this be a home run?

Not a home run, but a solid double.

The home run is someone like Rand Paul or JD Vance. We've got to get serious about the national debt. The average person doesn't realize what is soon to happen if we don't turn that ship around.

Rand needs to be the next Senate Majority Leader. He could do more in that regard, in that spot.

No one votes for the VP.

Would have been smarter to counter Biden with actual youth.

I agree that would be a good place for Rand. Let's go with JD Vance then

2024 is going to be won in the Midwest. Vance is a guy that could rally votes in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Trump will likely have to have one of those three. No one really votes for the VP, but the right VP can be crucial in adding value.

The VP pick has to be someone that 30,000 people in Wisconsin will say - Our country is on the wrong track - we have to do something, you know I don't really care for Trump, but I really like the VP candidate.

Well you have to factor in which selection helps with the electorate. I am not sure Rand or JD gets that done with as superficial many are today. Content-wise, sure but content often never factors in for election success.

I don't dislike Vance and don't think he would be a horrible VP pick. However, I think the idea that a VP pick will provide particular regional sway is probably passe.

Do not rob anyone out of the Senate or the House. We need the good one to stay in Congress?

I don't think he'll be VP but I wouldn't be opposed.

Vivek or JD Vance or Noem are the only 3 choices I would be excited about.

If Trump picks some boring yes man like Ben Carson or a retard like Tim Scott I'm probably just going to vote for RFK2 since I don't live in a swing state.

Scott would be an atrocious pick. I wouldn't be shocked if he does that, though.

Ive debated this in my mind as well. Is the "regional VP" the same as Nebraska not being competitive in football now that it's a national product?

Even without the regional pop, I really like JD Vance and I hope I get a chance to vote for him for President one day.

JD Vance pick would be more about teeing him up for 2028 and would be a magnificent way for Trump to punish DeSantis for challenging him.

DeSantis punished himself. He’s done for anything over a congressional role.

JD Vance

Vance isn't that good of a candidate. During a Biden midterm, he beat a Congressman who voted with Biden 100% of the time by only 6 points. Biden is hated in Ohio and wouldn't even step foot in the state. Vance underperformed every single state-wide Republican in Ohio by over 200k votes and underperformed Congressional Republican candidates by over 120k votes. A mediocre candidate would've beat Tim Ryan by double digits. Not only that, but Vance is doing everything in his power to hand Sherrod Brown another 6 years in the Senate by nominating crackpot Bernie Moreno, who is getting destroyed by Brown in the polls, over Ohio SOS Frank LaRose, who outperformed Vance by over 200k votes and carried him over the finish line.

Trump's political career will be over after he loses to Biden again. DeSantis will be the one leading the resistance against Biden's agenda and will be able to run an "I told you so" campaign in 2028, aimed at retards like yourself.
