What happens to Hunter if Joe passes while in office?

Aside from the hell of a Harris Administration, Joe won't be around to give him a Presidential pardon on the way out the door.
Would Republicans sweep it under the rug and move on, or take the opportunity to explore this rabbit hole further??

In the fricked up world we are living in he’s probably voted into office as POTUS or atleast a Senator as a show of respect or solidarity for the big guy, here’s the kicker, it was a republican’s idea

Nothing happens to Hunter. This whole thing is to damage and prove corruption. Once the big guy is dead, no one will care anymore and it would likely look worse for anyone trying to pile it on a dead president.

That would be the greatest gift of all. Harris would be the candidate. There's no way they'd brush her aside for Moochelle or anyone else, as she's the first black VP and the first woman VP. But she's awful. Her race/sex identity would not save her in the general.

They won't care at all about Hunter, once his Dad is out of office. It's not about him or Right or Wrong. It's playing political games. Same way the Dems do Trump's kids. They are just playing games.

He'll probably take some plea deal on a couple of minor charges in exchange for probation, maybe a fine, and immunity on everything else. Then he'll get a multi-million dollar deal to write a tell-all book, "10% for the Big Guy".
