It really is! I know quite a few individuals with TDS in real life and know it’s much more pervasive than most people realize. But still I’m amazed how many immediately flocked to the OP

I’m sure he’s heard of it but most would never recognize it in themselves. My nephew has it and stared at me in disbelief when I told him he had it after he couldn’t vocalize a specific reason he HATED Trump. It’s almost as if Trump came in and stole their true love. It’s so personal with them

Mine is not hate, as hate is an unproductive emotion
Mine is compassion for someone with issues that is in denial. I pray for him at least once a week.
I pray for a cousin under the control of drugs the same way even tho I know they have to be the one to seek help as they are the one that must start the journey to recovery.
As to personal exposure and insight, I worked many years for some of the wealthiest families in the USA and have an insight most never get to see. Delusion is great when you have dynastic trust funds intermarried with each other and no real life exposure that so many on this board take for granted in their own lives.
If there is an emotion I feel for them it is extreme sadness. All the material possessions at their fingertips and a little old black woman in her 80's with nothing of real material value but a faith in God and community that would shame them all.
