All of this "the NFL is scripted!" stuff has evolved from fans wanting a way to rationalize why their team doesn't win.

It goes both ways. The Saints NEVER had their season tickets sold out until they drafted Reggie Bush #2 overall after Houston stupidly took Mario Williams in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina.

Tom Benson wanted to move the Saints to San Antonio. Paul Tagliabo flew to Baton Rouge and met with Benson at Tiger Stadium.

Saints get Bush, play in the NFC Championship game and win a Super Bowl a few years later...and how long did the NFL milk that Katrina story?

Patriots defeat the Rams in 2001 after "Terrorist Attacks." Did you NOT think the team with Red, White, and blue wasn't going to win?

Its just as rigged/scripted as wrestling.

It's a business like any other business. They do whatever is necessary to maximize profit.
I am entertained by those who insist that it's some sort of conspiracy theory.

You forgot the Rams moving to LA, and a perpetual 8-8 team nearly immediately wins the SB.

It's not for the "fans," it's the story that is built with it.

"Well why wouldn't Dallas win the SB each year?"

People still watch Dallas games to watch them lose. That's not the case anymore for the Patriots, for example.

So you think the NFL rigged things by having the Texans pick the better player, to help out the Saints?
