I don’t think sharyland is actually a city but I would rank it above McAllen just for the schools alone.
I always preferred Laredo to the valley personally but the valley is cool too. If I had a nice job down there I would live there

well i work with schools exclusively, so that's my confusion there.
Sharyland schools are in Mission i guess? or mcallen as well?
but yeah. not where i'd want to live for the climate, but good people and a slower way of life.
